By renting any garment from Fundarentals, you agree and consent to these terms and conditions.
We reserve the right to alter or add to our terms and conditions as we see fit. The renter is responsible for ensuring they are aware of the current terms and conditions when renting. Prices and deals are subject to change at any time.
Fundarentals is always the legal owner of all garments.
The rented garment must only be worn by the renter unless explicit approval has been granted for other arrangements.
Rentals are not confirmed until payment has been received in full. Holds are not offered.
Fundarentals has the right to refuse service to anyone at any point without explanation.
All photos of yourself in the garment that are posted to social media can be reposted unless you have requested otherwise.
Please make sure to review all the details regarding damage fees, postage, payment information, governing law and jurisdiction, refund policy, garment information, how to book, general wear, and late fees. The information from these sections is part of the agreement you are committing to when accepting our terms and conditions.

Refunds & Cancellations
We understand that receiving your garment on time is crucial, especially if you are ordering for a special event. If your order does not arrive by the date of your event, we have a few policies in place to ensure that you are taken care of.
Please take note of the following policies:
- We do not offer refunds or store credit if the dress does not fit as desired. We strongly recommend referring to our size guides and recommended sizes to ensure a proper fit. If you need more details about the fit, feel free to contact us via email or Instagram.
- If your rental does not arrive in time for your event, you will not receive a refund. However, store credit may be applicable. Please refer to the above information for more details.
- If you wish to cancel your booking within 6 hours of placing the order and the order has not been sent off or issued for collection, you are eligible for a refund. However, the refund amount will be the total of your order minus $3 for processing fees. If your cancellation occurs 6+ hours after the order has been placed, please refer below.
- If you decide to cancel your booking or if your event is canceled 3+ days prior to the event, we will offer store credit. However, if the garment has already been posted or picked up, you will not receive a refund or store credit.
- Refunds will be issued if the garment arrives damaged, excluding any damage disclosed in the product description. Please email photo evidence of the damage to us within 8 hours of receiving the garment via post, or within 8 hours of the dress being collected. The garment must be dropped back or posted the following business day (Monday) and unworn before the refund is issued. The refund will be issued back to the payment method used for the order.
- If you encounter any issues with the condition of your rental upon its arrival or pick-up, please contact us within 8 hours to assess compensation. However, please note that compensation will not be provided if you report issues after wearing the rental.
Garment Care
We have a number of suggestions to consider when caring for the garment are renting from us.
Be aware
- Please exercise caution when handling jewellery, handbags, and other accessories to avoid causing pulls or snags on the garments.Additionally, we kindly request that you take care with coloured alcoholic drinks to prevent any potential staining or discolouration.
- Being mindful of these guidelines will help ensure the garments remain in their best condition for all customers to enjoy.
- Please understand that not all the garments are going to be in perfect condition as they are getting worn all the time. If you have any concerns about the condition of a specific garment, please feel free to inquire before renting it, and we will provide you with detailed information to help you make an informed decision.
Respect
- When renting a garment from us, it is intended for your personal use only. Wearing the garment without prior payment or agreement to the terms is strictly prohibited. To avoid any issues, please ensure that you are the one wearing the rented garment. However, if you wish to have someone else wear the garment, please request permission in advance, and as long as the rental price is paid and all terms and conditions are adhered to, we can consider accommodating such requests.
Care
- We kindly request that you refrain from washing the garments yourself, as we will handle the cleaning process. However, if the garment is a ball gown and you have marked or stained it, please bring it to our attention, and we will advise you to take it to a professional dry cleaning service. This ensures that the garment receives the appropriate care and maintains its quality.
Damage Fees
Please note that if any damages result from your rental you will be liable for our damage fees.
- If the garment is returned in a damaged condition, the renter is responsible for covering the associated dry cleaning or repair costs. Damage may include stains, rips, burn holes, and discoloration. If the necessary repairs or damage impact any future rentals for the garment, the renter will also be responsible for these costs.If the garment is lost, stolen, or the damage is irreparable, the renter must pay for the full RRP of the garment or a replacement fee determined by fundarents Replacement fee payments should be made within 30 days of the rental date. We are open to discussing various payment options to accommodate your needs. The full RRP of each garment can be found in the product description.Under no circumstances will the renter be allowed to keep the garment.
- If the garment is returned with stains or any form of damage, you are responsible for covering the associated costs of dry cleaning or repair. In the event that the garment cannot be repaired or the stains cannot be removed, you are required to compensate for the full retail price of the garment as a replacement. Failure to comply with this obligation may result in legal action, where your case may be taken to the small claims court. We encourage open communication and cooperation to resolve any such issues amicably.
- Refunds will be issued if the garment arrives damaged, excluding any damage disclosed in the product description. Rental agreement
We appreciate your understanding that postage prices are beyond our control and can fluctuate due to various factors, including the size of the garment and the corresponding packaging requirements.
Additionally, please note that we stop accepting postage orders for the upcoming weekend on Wednesday at 6PM. If you intend to rent from us and require courier services, we recommend making your booking before this cut-off time.
Non-Return and Police Claim: In the event that you fail to return the rented dress by the specified return date and have not obtained prior approval for an extension, the Company reserves the right to initiate legal action and file a police claim for theft or loss of property. If a police claim is filed, you may be held liable for the full retail value of the dress, as well as any additional costs, such as legal fees or recovery expenses
Postage & Late Fees
- Rentals are shipped 2-5 days before your event via overnight courier. Please note that once the rental has been posted, it is at your own risk, and we cannot be held liable for the garment.
- There is additional charges for rural postage, but please be aware that posting to a rural address is at your own risk. Rural deliveries typically take 1-2 days to arrive, and your order will not be posted to you early. For added security to ensure your rental arrives in time, we recommend having your dress sent to a non-rural address of a friend or family member.
- If the garment does not arrive in time for your event due to a postal delay, store credit minus the postage costs will be offered. We can also offer a date exchange (rebooking for a different date). To receive this store credit, the rental must be posted back within 2 days of receiving it.
- Late bookings will not receive store credit if the rental does not arrive in time for the event. A postal order is considered 'late' when your order is placed with only one working day between the date you book and your event date, and/or if your order is placed after 9pm on tusday for a weekend event.
- Please specify if you need the garment before your event date, for example, if you are leaving your residential address before the event. This can be arranged by contacting us via email or Instagram to find a solution.
- If the rental arrives after you have left your address but before your event and you have failed to disclose this information, no store credit or refunds will be offered.
- Refunds will not be given if you fail to provide the correct postal address or select the incorrect shipping option. It is your responsibility to ensure that all information provided is correct when placing an order. If the dress is lost or misplaced due to an incorrect shipping method or address provided by you, you will be liable to pay the full RRP replacement cost of the dress, or a replacement price deemed appropriate.
- If you happen to lose the return bag, you must contact us immediately to arrange an alternative option. The rental must be posted with overnight courier, and the tracking number needs to be sent to us. You are liable to pay for any extra postage costs as a result of this.
- You are required to drop the rental off at a post office counter before 12pm the following business day after your event. Please do not put it in a drop box, as this will delay the parcel. Failure to meet the deadlines states above will result in a late fee of $20 per day for each day the garments are not returned, unless an alternative arrangement has been mutually agreed upon and confirmed.
Delivery Responsibility Notice
Once the parcel has been delivered, it is YOUR responsibility to ensure it is collected promptly and brought safely inside. Renters will be charged up to the RRP for any items lost, stolen, or damaged due to being left unattended after delivery.
Booking cut-off times
- Bookings can be made up to 6 weeks in advance
- Bookings for postal courier must be placed by the Wednesday before at 1pm unless clarified otherwise (holiday rentals).
- Bookings for pickup must be placed by the Thursday before at 11pm unless clarified otherwise (holiday rentals).
- Failure to comply with these booking cut-offs result in the order being cancelled and will be ineligible for a refund (a store-credit will be given instead)
- Bookings are currently only available for weekends. If you are requiring a rental during the week please contact us and we will try to accommodate for this
